Coach Africa’s approach
African Brewed Coaching is Coach Africa’s approach to coaching, grounded in African experience. At its heart is the TREES model, a five-step coaching process created by Dr. Norah Njuba Bwaya, MCC, founder of the first coaching firm in Eastern Africa.
The skills are simple to name and take practice to master: listening fully, asking questions that open up thinking, and reflecting back what you hear.
Coaching begins when we stop rushing to give answers, and start helping others think.
Your learning pathway
Start with the scholarship course. If you want to keep developing your practice, there is a clear next step.
Work through Roots of Excellence and build your understanding of coaching, the TREES model and the core skills.
Receive a certificate of participation once you meet the course’s participation requirements.
Continue towards practice, feedback and further development through Coach Africa’s monthly Impact Labs.
A certificate of participation is not a coaching credential. It recognises your participation in the foundation course. It is not a professional coaching certification.
The Impact Labs are separate from the scholarship. They are not included automatically, and joining is your choice. Joining options and fees are listed on the Impact Lab page.
